Linethin Productions created UX in U. Magazine Florida - a hybrid print - and - digital publication.
It lives inside a magazine stand holder equipped with a QR code that links readers to interactive digital content through an app.
The goal: connect local businesses, creatives, and communities
in one interactive platform that drives engagement and foot traffic.
How it works:
1. Each business advertising in the magazine gets its own magazine stand holder to display at their location.
2. The magazine stand holder QR code links to the digital version of the magazine - photo galleries, videos and more - so readers can browns hands - free.
3. These magazine stand holders are also placed in high-traffic areas (airports, hospitals, lounges, library, etc. ).
4. The magazine combines local advertising, community services, filmmakers, musical artists and influencers - all featured side-by-side.
5. Some pages and ads include interactive QR links to watch a
business's TV commercial, view a movie trailer, watch a movie or listen to a song.
The "Win Winners Game"
This is the gamified element that sets the concept apart:
* Players scan the QR code on magazine stand holder to access the game.
* They complete missions (e.g,, visit a participating local business or website) to find clues or answers win prizes, gifts or special offers.
* The first three players to text in the correct answers win prizes, gifts, or special offers.
* Businesses benefit by drawing people into their stores or onto websites during low-traffic hours.
It's essentially a local scavenger hunt that boost business traffic , wrapped inside an interactive magazine.
